Inclusion of organizations on this page is entirely subjective with an emphasis on organizations of substantial worldwide membership as well as some organizations of relevance to me either due to georgraphical proximity to my location or relevance to other aspects of my hobby interests. I encourage individuals to check out these organizations. I am a member and supporter of membership in the National Model Railroad Association. Only through active members participating locally in their divisions and regions can the NMRA grow in its service to the hobby for the benefit of all model railroading hobbyists.
The National Model Railroad Association, Inc. advances the global scale model railroading community through education, advocacy, standards, and social interaction.
The Northeastern Region NMRA is a part of the National Model Railroad Association that serves the northeastern United States including all of Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont as well as parts of New York, New Jersey. The NER also serves Canada in Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.
The seacoast division serves NMRA members and the model railroad hobby in Maine and New Hampshire.
The HUB division serves NMRA members and the model railroad hobby in the Boston and Eastern Massachusetts areas.
HO scale modular model railroading. Free-mo was developed with the idea that a set of standards focusing mainly on module endplates would enable faithful modeling of prototype trackplans and operations in a modular environment.
